## Brains Each of the 5 "brains" (i.e. electronics enclosures) attaches to the dome using two band clamps. Here's where the brains should go. Doors i.e. "remove a strut so there's an entrance" should be between brains, so that they're less likely to get interfered with. ![[Pasted image 20240421123838.png]] Each brain has a color (marked by stickers/decorations on the enclosure). Arrange these in rainbow order clockwise when looking at the ground i.e. orange-yellow-green-blue-purple. Green is the "motherbrain" and should be placed closest the the electronics table. Each brain needs a power connection and needs to run an Ethernet cable to the motherbrain. --- --- --- ## Triangle Panels Each brain has cables going to one BOT constellation and one MID constellation. The green "motherbrain" has cables running to the TOP constellation. ![[construction-diagram-assembly-v2.png]] ## Y-cables **White cable goes up** to the sideways-mounted triangle. Black cable continues foward. ## Plugging Things In Safely Every power connection follows the rule: **RED PIN IN**, black pin out. i.e. the RED PIN is going to be closest to the power source. ![[Pasted image 20240421105625.png]] You are allowed to plug and un-plug cables while they're "live" - but if you do, double-check the **RED PIN IN** rule. Every data connection should have couplers on the output end. Those couples should be superglued on to prevent mistakes - but the Ethernet cables are interchangeable. ![[Pasted image 20240421105727.png]] ## Is Everything Working? If each brain has an Ethernet connection to the motherbrain and the motherbrain is turned on, you will see a test pattern. @TODO marten to confirm
